Hubbard Woods Park is a neighborhood park in the heart of Winnetka, right adjacent to the Hubbard Woods Metra Station and located in a key mixed-use district. The village recently voted to renovate the park, which included moving the gazebo and current playground structures to the south end of the lot. This move will allow for better parking near businesses on Gage Street and will be an important component of the village’s master plan for the area, according to village trustees.
The gazebo is a popular spot for Winnetka youth, and now it’s going to be replaced with a new park shelter with restrooms and a warming center, a new playground and a splash pad. This is the first phase of a $2 million renovation for the neighborhood park, and it’s expected to be finished in about six months.

The Hubbard Woods neighborhood is also home to a large number of “urban sophisticates” who are more likely to attend gallery openings and other cultural events than 98.4% of the nation’s neighborhoods, and who have more urbane tastes in literature, music, theatre and the arts than 99.7% of neighborhoods in the country.
The Hubbard Woods neighborhood is a very popular place to live, especially for young families.
