Haunt O’ Ween in Woodland Hills is a massive, family-friendly event that celebrates everything Halloween has to offer. It features trick-or-treating in a town full of spooky residents, potion-making, a giant 24-foot pumpkin slide, and more than 35,000 gourds to pick from and carve for your own decorations.
The 200,000 square-foot playground includes eight themed areas and ghoulish fun for the entire family, with a variety of immersive experiences. There’s the “Grand Entrance,” a Jack-O-Lantern Tunnel, a tribute to FX’s acclaimed vampire sitcom What We Do in The Shadows, a Pun-Kin Patch filled to the brim with orange gourds, and even a “Pumpkin ‘Picking'” spot where employees will provide guests with their own plump would-be jack o’ lantern (additional pumpkins are also available for purchase).
Beyond the Grave Rave is an illuminated dance dome, where guests can groove to a mix of music from beyond the grave. There are traveling fair rides, a hay bale pyramid, and large-format party and carnival games.
There are a number of live performers throughout the experience, including baton twirlers, roller skaters, and stilt walkers. They all beckon you to come closer and explore the spooky worlds they inhabit, which makes this place really feel like a whole new realm.
Located in the San Fernando Valley, this event is brought to you by Experiential Supply Co., a firm that specializes in creating large-scale experiences for Hollywood film studios. Their events have included multi-million-dollar micro theme parks to promote theatrical releases, but they have also created a number of other spooky and crafted events in the Valley, such as Christmas Wonderland and Sugar Rush, all of which are geared toward the entire family.
In addition to the various spooky entertainment, there are also a plethora of food and beverage offerings. Several local restaurants have joined in on the fun, as well as sponsors, including Bang Energy drinks, Happy Dad Hard Seltzer, Takis chips, and Malibu Wines.
